Time to GoPro and Be A HyperSmooth Hero

We all know GoPro to be the company producing the world’s most versatile action cameras. Every year and every model seems to keep proving this true.

Their latest product line Hero7 Black sets a new bar for video stabilization with its standout feature, HyperSmooth.

HyperSmooth is the best in-camera video stabilization ever featured in a camera. It makes it easy to capture professional-looking, gimbal-like stabilized video without the expense or hassle of a motorized gimbal. And HyperSmooth works underwater and in high-shock and wind situations where gimbals fail. HERO7 Black with HyperSmooth video stabilization – you’ve got to see it to believe it.

From Real Run Ryan: CurrexSole Review – Insoles that are worth it!

CurrexSole Review The insoles that allow you to run free

By Ryan Light, Running/Anxiety Coach
I heard about currexSole from a running friend on twitter, I saw that they promote a insole for a “natural runner”. Interested in knowing more about how this insole allows you to “run naturally” I reached out to them to see if they would send me a few pairs to test and review. Now I must admit that since I would be classified as a “natural runner” which generally means you are a mid to forefoot striker, I was looking for a reason to give these insoles a bad review – well I can’t! After using them for about 6 weeks and putting about 150 miles  in them I have to say they are awesome! I was shocked in how they do allow me to keep and hold my form while also allowing me to feel the ground when I’m running, I have used them in various training such as tempo, intervals, and long runs. Each time they held up quite well and never lost their firmness!
Who is currexSole?
currexSole-components1.gif
currexSole is an international company primarily focused on making various insoles every kind of sports activity. I found that the company does line up to their core values of  being “ambitious, independent and effective team of sports scientists and athletes who create products that result from the very latest research findings and meet the highest requirements.”
The Science! What’s the big deal?
Studies have shown that, “Comfort plays an important role in the selection process of the best fitting running shoe (Piller, 2002). To improve wearing comfort of running shoes, the approaches of footwear accessory industry range from individually customized via “semi” customized to “one size fits all” prefabricated insoles.” Throughout this study currexSole ranked the highest in overall comfort, heel cushion, and heel fit.
What is currexSole?
currexSole as they would refer to it as being, “currexSoles are small technological powerhouses beneath your feet.” The soles are made up of a four step process, top layer is primarily where the deep heel cup is focused. The second layer is made up of breathable material that wicks away the sweat and allows airflow to get under the foot helping is keep dry. The third layer is made of a soft bendable plastic what currexSole calls “3D DAT” it’s meant to provide to provide energy return with a “spring like” action, The last layer gives you some extra cushion under the balls and heels of your feet. This is mean for those long runs in which these areas are under the most stress.

Singletrack: to Easily Clean Your Bike Without a Hose – RinseKit Review

Singletrack: to Easily Clean Your Bike Without a Hose – RinseKit Review

singletracks_logo48.jpg
As an apartment dweller, my bikes typically fall somewhere between dirty or completely filthy on the bicycle cleanliness spectrum, as I haven’t had the means to keep them in that shiny, showroom-new condition. Thankfully, the good folks at RinseKit have devised a novel solution for people like me who have a habit of getting their gear caked in mud without having any effective way to remove said mud. The RinseKit promises riders salvation from caked-on dirt with its clever shower-in-a-box, and I felt that my fleet of crusty bikes would serve as a great test to those claims.
RinseKit-Lux-Product-1000px.jpg
Originally created as a way for surfer-turned-inventor, Chris Crawford, to wash off from morning surf sessions in California, the utility of a high pressure portable shower was soon noticed by other outdoorsy types, and the RinseKit transformed from a one-off invention to a viable product for the masses. To think that surfers were once cast as beach bums who didn’t contribute to society, tsk tsk.
Using the Kit
The RinseKit is a diminutive thing, at only 13.5in long by 11in wide and 16.5in tall, so I was somewhat skeptical of how effective it would be against the months’ worth of tacky Pacific Northwest soil that had become one with my bike frames. Using the optional hot water tap connector, all that was needed to get the portable shower set up was to attach the kit to the kitchen faucet, crank it up full bore, and wait the prescribed 30 seconds for it to fill up and pressurize the tank. Seeing as how I’m a bit absent-minded, I was worried that I might overfill the tank and have a water bomb in my apartment, but the guys at RinseKit thankfully have idiot-proofed their invention by building in a one way valve to keep just this from happening....

Sidi Shot Shoes Review

Sidi Shot Shoes Review

97_231_varianti_gallery_pop_Shot_Yel_Black.jpg

Review by: VeloNews

Sidi has once again created a supremely comfortable shoe without any hot spots or pinching to be found. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better fit. Better yet, there was just about no break-in time; 10 minutes into my first ride, the Shots felt like I’d been riding them the entire year.

But as we’ve seen before with Sidi’s high-end road shoes, the company includes lots of bells and whistles to get there — more than we wanted or needed. The Shots are fairly heavy at 608 grams, and the dial adjustment system needs some refinement. If you’re after best-in-class comfort, the Shots are worth a look. If simplicity and light weight are on the agenda, the Shots may come up short.

The Microfibra Techpro synthetic uppers create a wraparound fit that’s ideal for narrow to moderate-width feet. If your foot is wide, you might find yourself wishing for a broader sole, especially at the forefoot. The material seems quite resilient and there was little expansion after miles of use. The fit remained consistent from first ride to last.

2XU at New York Fashion Week

2XU at New York Fashion Week

Kiwi sportswear company 2XU has grabbed the high-fashion headlines, thanks to their designs being used in Kanye West's show. For Yeezy 5 West layered oversized sweaters and cardigans over compression wetsuits by 2XU. Founder and former triathlete Jamie Hunt said it was the type of exposure he could "only have dreamed of".

But he only got the call ten days before the New York show.

"We got an email, saying 'Kanye owns some of your product', which was a shock, he told Newstalk ZB.

"They said 'he loves your design aesthetic, and the lines on your garments, and would love to have one of your products on the catwalk for his fashion show in New York.

"We had ten days to design it, get it manufactured in Asia, and then shipped to New York."

The team designed more than West had asked for, just to make sure there was something included that he liked.
